Our Methods Of Pricing Include:
1) Establish Brand (American Eagle, Sovereign, Credit Suisse, Etc)
2) Establish the Size (1/2 oz, Kilo, Etc.)
3) Establish the “Spot “ price of Gold.
4) Establish the “Premium” or “Discount” to Spot Gold. (American Eagles have a slight premium but US Postal Gold has a slight discount).

These premiums and discounts are typically only a couple or a few percent difference and are mainly based on supply and demand. Remember: if a coin brings a slight premium over another coin, it usually means a slight premium was also paid for it originally.

Method of Payment - Bring the coins or bars into either Fox Valley Coin location. We will look at the current spot price and calculate the bullion price times the quantity that you have. (This is all done right in front of you and your items never leave your sight). We then either pay you right there on the spot or you may wish to keep some or all of it. We tell you the price free of charge regardless if you sell or not.

Method of Pricing

2) Establish the Grade (About Uncirculated, MS 65, Proof, Business Strike, etc)
3) Establish the Numismatic Value (Supply & Demand)

(This is all done right in front of you and your items never leave your sight). We then either pay you right there on the spot or you may wish to keep some or all of them. We tell you the price free of charge regardless if you sell or not. You may wish to consign any or all to our Fox Valley Coin Auctions. We’ll discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of consigning to the auction.

Bring in your gold scrap and we will let you know what it is worth.

What We Buy

1) Jewelry - 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, 24K, broken or nice. We pay according to the gold content. If you have something exceptional you might consider consigning to one of our auctions.

2) Dental Gold – 16K. We buy this strictly based on the gold content. We request that you remove the teeth prior to bringing this in. We do insist you remove from mouth before we weigh it (HA HA).

3) Damaged – We will pretty much always buy gold in any form as long as there is enough gold content to make the smelting process feasible. For instance – a band of gold on a porcelain dinner plate does not have hardly any gold. Keep in mind you may want to sell the set of dinner plates in our Antique and Collectible Auctions. In other words if your items are 9K gold or higher , we will purchase them.
